Practitioner Spotlight: Jim Levinson

Meet Our Aura Sanctuary Practitioners

At the heart of the Aura Sanctuary Pop-Up are the incredible healers, teachers, and guides who bring their energy, wisdom, and gifts to our community. Each practitioner has a unique story—rooted in their journey of self-discovery, the chakras they resonate with, and the healing practices they’ve cultivated. Through these conversations, we invite you to get to know them on a deeper level and discover how their presence shapes the sanctuary experience.

Jim Levinson, Chief Auratherapist and co-founder of Auratherapy, brings a unique blend of intuition and technical insight to the Aura Sanctuary. Through his deep connection to the Third Eye Chakra and passion for energy healing, he helps guests awaken to their true energetic nature.

Q: Who are you and what do you do?

A: I’m Jim Levinson, Chief Auratherapist and Co-Founder of Auratherapy, and co-author of Auratherapy: A Guide to Adoring Your Chakras, Aura, and Yourself. My work is centered around helping people understand that they are energy beings, and guiding them on a path to balance, healing, and self-awareness.

Q: When did you first discover your gifts?

A: My interest in energy and the supernatural started at a young age. I was fascinated by martial arts and its connection to energy flow, and I experienced vivid dreams that hinted at a deeper layer of reality. Over time, I began studying Rosicrucianism, meditating, and collecting crystals—each practice opening my eyes to the unseen world around us. Those explorations eventually led me to develop my abilities as an auratherapist, where I now use my gifts to help people recognize their energetic patterns and transform their lives.

Q: Which chakra do you most identify with and why?

A: I most identify with the Third Eye Chakra. Every time I do my aura readings, my Third Eye is one of the strongest centers of energy for me. My aura consistently shines in shades of violet and indigo, which symbolize intuition, insight, and spiritual vision. This chakra represents the clarity and awareness that guide both my personal journey and the healing I facilitate for others.

Q: What are your superpowers?

A: My superpower lies in combining an engineer’s mindset with intuitive insight. I love data, measurable outcomes, and quantifiable results, but I also embrace the mystery of quantum mechanics, energy flow, and the healing arts. This balance allows me to bring a unique perspective to auratherapy—where the mystical and the practical meet to create real transformation.

Q: Where do you live and how does your environment influence your practice?

A: I split my time between Asheville, North Carolina, and Miami, Florida. The mountains of Asheville offer grounding, peace, and a deeply spiritual connection to nature, while the ocean and vibrant energy of Miami provide movement, flow, and creativity. Each environment influences my practice differently, helping me stay balanced and connected to both earth and spirit.

Q: Why did you choose to join the Aura Sanctuary Pop-Up?

A: For me, the Aura Sanctuary Pop-Up is about creating a shared space where people can explore their energy in a safe and welcoming environment. I joined to bring my passion for helping others see themselves as energy beings, to guide them toward healing, and to connect with a community committed to transformation and growth.

With his blend of intuition, technical precision, and visionary insight, Jim offers Aura Sanctuary guests an experience that is both expansive and grounded, bridging the seen and unseen in powerful ways.
