Introduction to the Exhibition

Leah Poller’s Beds invite viewers to move not only through space but also through the subtle architecture of the self. Installed in seven rooms, each bed corresponds to one of the seven chakras, offering a progression from grounding in the earth to union with the divine. Beginning with the Root Chakra’s call to safety and renewal, visitors rise step by step through themes of intimacy, will, compassion, expression, vision, and transcendence. The journey culminates in the Crown Chakra, where Poller’s sculpture embodies majesty, memory, and spiritual connection. Together, the beds form an energetic pathway—an invitation to rest, reflect, and awaken to the shared humanity and hidden stories that live within us all.
